Múlafossur Cottages - About Us

Welcome, we're so excited that your here! 

Múlafossur Cottages were built between 2020-2023 and are run by us - the Lauritsen family. 

We live in the village Sørvágur on the islands Vágar, which is a 15minute drive from Gásadalur village and the Múlafossur waterfall. From a very young age we have had a strong connection to Gásadalur and have spent countless days in the valley - even when there was no tunnel and we had to hike over the mountain to get to the village. 

The dream of creating rental cottages in Gásadalur has been with us for over a decade. Now that Múlafossur Cottages has become reality, we love sharing the experience with guests from all over the world. We want it to be a place where people can recharge, create fond memories - and laugh a lot. We believe it is a place for everyone: families with kids who want to play in the river and friendly surroundings, couples who want to unwind and spend quality time together and adventurers who want to hike and explore.
