The Terna Cottageis named after the bird 'Terna' that flies to the Faroe Islands every summer, and can be seen flying over the oceans around Vágar. The cottage was built in the spring of 2021 and it has a slightly different layout to the cottages 'Tjaldur Cottage' and 'Lundi Cottage'. While the cottage is small and cosy it comfortably houses up to four people. You will have private access to the entire cottage.

The final road leading to the cottage is fairly rocky, but it is possible to reach your final destination by car - free parking spots are outside the cottage.

There are two bedrooms upstairs, each room containing 2 single beds each. There is also a sofabed in the downstairs living room that can be turned into a comfortable double bed.

Please note that the cottage is a cosy, traditional Faroese cottage, and the ceiling in the upstairs loft bedrooms is therefore quite low. At its highest point it’s roughly 180cm. Depending on your own height you might also need to slightly crouch when walking up the stairs.
If this is an issue, please let us know and we can advise you to book a different, slightly larger cottage - if it’s available. The vast majority of our guests find this to be an exciting experience, and the size is not an issue at all.

Included in the package deal are wifi, bed sheets, towels and kitchen and bathroom essentials. There is unfortunately not yet a washer dryer on the premises.

We request bookings of minimum two nights - and three nights during high season. There is also a cleaning fee on top of the total amount.
